ebay will take care of you , they live to side with the buyer and stick it to the seller,

just make sure you follow the return process

eta, if you are still using paypal, dispute it with them as well

Last summer I did a BIN for a Katzskin leather kit for my Jeep. Apparently the vendor was an auto dealer group’s e-commerce store, multiple brands.

I had the OEM part number and pricing including the dealer cost as I used to be in the business and still have some ins. Found the one I needed, advertised as new and unused, O.E., priced at $150 below dealer cost plus shipping. So I bought it.

Three days later I’m still checking for shipping information when a message from eBay is received that my order has been cancelled as a result of buyer’s (?) request and my CC was refunded. Which it was, but I wasn’t too happy that they indicated that I was the canceling party. I tried to contact eBay but got nowhere. Didn’t really expect to but just wanted to vent a bit.

And about a week later, surprise, guess who is listing the same kit but at a higher BIN. Instead I got put in touch with one of the local vendors who sold me one.
