I have been able to see prices on some of these by selecting options to order online for pick-up. Not available on all, but many do offer this on the website. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Ice age heat wave, cant complain. |
This is absolutely obnoxious. I'm on the road a lot and try to follow some concept of a diet, so I spend time looking at menus before I go to a restaurant. I agree, if I need to spend too much time fumblefucking around with the app/website just to see whats on the menu, I'm moving on. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

Yep, I have done that also, but I don't go through the motions if I have to type in a bunch of info to get to the ordering part.

Paper Menu! QR Codes never!! Went out once and QR code only no paper menus at all. We were with the wife’s friends or I would have left. Used the friends phone. The QR code apparently went to an old menu or one at a different location and they tried to charge us different prices that were much more. Tried being key there we have not been back. I also will not give them a number to text me when my table is ready. Get weird looks all the time for this one. Folks type their number into everything and wonder why they get so many spam calls. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Yup! KenAdams87@yahoo.com has frequented many places. Plus, once Ken is connected to the establishment’s wifi, it gets channeled through a VPN. "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Back, and to the left |
For a while when asked for my number, I'd just answer "No. What else ya got?" After I got the aforementioned looks, I explained that SPAM calls exploded in frequency after giving my number to only their restaurant. I finally just signed up for a google voice phone number that rings through to my phone. As a result, 3 years later the spam calls and texts are very rare (but not totally gone).

^^^ exactly, no menu - no business .... from me!

Caught in a loop |
Imma just point out that QR codes are very quickly becoming very, very popular with malicious actors for taking people to the cleaners (or at least trying to). Wouldn't take much to compromise folks at a restaurant - just a printer and a laminating machine. "In order to understand recursion, you must first learn the principle of recursion."

Get my pies outta the oven! |
My wife refuses to play this online/virtual menu crap in restaurants and will demand a paper menu each and every time.

I asked the server if I could borrow her phone to see the menu. She looked at me like I had two heads. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

The having to jump through hoops to look for a menu on a company's website is a pain. A lot of times you can get around it, by looking for the restaurant on yelp and looking at a photo of the menu.

Striker in waiting |
Maybe, but that's not a useful workaround unless the photos are of reasonable quality and the menu is current. More often that not, the photos are garbage and out of date. While I'm revisiting my rant, allow me also to complain about businesses that "maintain" a website, but only update their parallel FB page - particularly when it comes to hours of operation and other pertinent, but basic, information. As a non-FB user (which I understand is a rapidly growing percentage of the population), guess who I'm also less likely to patronize? -Rob I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888 A=A

Marco's Pizza is one of the most irritating, you even if you have an account, you have to go through their bullshit pick a location bit to even sign in. It's so stupid. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups

I want to walk in a place , sit down , have the nice lady hand me a menu and take my drink order . That's it . No exceptions . I'm old school and I will not change . There are still plenty of places that operate that way and that's who I will patronize .

I wanted some dinner (take out) while traveling recently. I checked a place online. Decent reviews. Food pics looked okay. Prices reasonable. But spidey sense was tingling so instead of calling in the order, I decided to go and then place the order. 1) prices were 30% higher on the menu vs what was indicated online. 2) no mention of paid parking - I thought parking would be free. It seems like any other strip mall. I was outta the lot in 5 so they didn’t charge me. I ain’t paying for parking on a take out order. Especially see #1. 3) rude wait staff. I left sans ordering. How they survive, I don’t know. Maybe they won’t. Good riddance. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it."
