FredwardSelf-Defeating Packaging
My wife and I both have arthritis in our hands and we have difficulty sometimes opening jars. I bought a battery operated device that opens tight jars. It was advertised for people with arthritis and poor hand strength. It was packaged tighter than a Barbie doll. I ended up using a Stanley knife to cut the damn thing out of the plastic. Reminds me of my arthritis medication originally coming with child proof caps. Why, SpongeBob, why?

PHPaulI know your pain. Literally.
I can't open a plastic water bottle without a tool.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

armoredI wonder how many people are killed or seriously inured each year trying to open packaging.

RileyLots of injuries I’m sure, judging by the number of package opening tools.
Even with non arthritic hands, I’ve started modifying and buying stuff to make it easier.
Fiskars open handed shears and requesting or modifying the cap on child safe bottles.

Thieves still gonna thieve.
Children still gonna stick it in their mouth.
The enviornment does not give a shit.
Give me the olde Bayer Aspirin bottle with the easy soft red rubber flip off top. (remember them?)

trapper189I bought a Leatherman multi-tool once that came in packaging like that. I stared at the package wishing I had a Leatherman multi-tool to get it out.
