My best friend’s sons graduation party is tomorrow. Bought him an Arnie Seiko off Amazon. It came in while I was away on business. Couldn’t be more fake- knock off. I reached out to the seller through Amazon and left a negative review. Pretty bullshit that Amazon doesn’t do a better job at identifying scammers.

Amazon is worse than eBay or Craigslist. I only buy from Amazon or verifiable big vendor with BBB records and physical address in USA. Did you buy from Amazon? Or some random mkt place vendor? Just for the hell of it |
I use Amazon often but only when Amazon is the seller or says ships from Amazon with free returns. When Amazon is nether the seller or shipper I will not touch it. Good luck getting some satisfaction. _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. You can return the product for a refund. Being a fake is more than sufficient reason. I've returned items for lesser reasons. I have always had good luck with Amazon on the few returns I’ve made. My most recent was really my fault because I decided I wanted something else after it arrived, but the return was free and I got notice that the refund would be made as soon as I dropped it off for the return. ► 6.4/93.6

At the top right of the Amazon web page, click on "Returns & Orders." The website will guide you through the process. Proceed slowly, be sure to read carefully as you answer the questions, and it's easy enough. I have noticed that when I made a return at a Kohl's location, or more frequently at The UPS Store, I receive a confirming email from Amazon within hours, stating that the refund will be applied. Sorry to hear that you got scammed, hopefully Amazon will terminate the seller's account. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Thanks for the feedback gents. I’ve rRely returned anything and since I did buy from a private seller I assumed I was stuck. I’ll step through the return process carefully. Now I don’t have a gift for him though.

If you're talking about going through a website from which you order and the website takes you through Amazon for payment then that's not really ordering ON Amazon because your Amazon purchase history doesn't show it. I know not everything you buy from Amazon isn't returnable either like electronics unless they're dead on arrival. But they are pretty liberal in that it's like you try it and you can return it if you don't like it. I'm sure they'll flag your account if you have a high percentage of returns especially dubious ones where you say the product is "broken" where people might have just swapped products. You reminded me of a couple of times when I returned something, I get refunded. Then months later, I get charged back because the vendor says I never returned it. Since then, I've made a point of keeping the Kohl's or UPS receipt. Before I started keeping the receipts, I would just call Amazon and simply state I did return the product and the Amazon rep credited back or cancelled the charge. I also start tracking the return status on the order page especially of big ticket items. It usually says, "We have refunded you and are awaiting the return." The last status is "Return complete". The last time was for $80 and it was stuck on awaiting the return. I messaged the vendor via Amazon and they acknowledged the return but to wait a few more days because they're backed up processing. After a few months, I followed up and the vendor said they did what they were supposed to do but the status is still awaiting return. I contacted Amazon directly and they said it was just a glitch and not to worry about it. I still kept my documentation electronically for 6 months. Page late and a dollar short |
Only one time have I had any issue with a item that was fulfilled by Amazon, it was a food item. Imported steak sauce, retailers in Southeast Michigan no longer carried it. Found a three pack on Amazon and ordered it. Upon arrival the pull dates on all bottles was two months previous. Contacted Amazon. They said their policy was not to accept food items for return but they would refund and for me to dispose of it due to the expiration date. About a week later the seller contacted me wanting to know why the item was refunded which I replied to. I then received another email the following week requesting photos of all three bottles and photos of the date codes. I replied to their email that per Amazon the item was disposed of and the bottles were probably somewhere in the process of being recycled. I really expected a chargeback. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. Always great advice to contact David. I should have in the first place. Yesterday was his party though- fortunately I remembered my local jeweler had a Pro Diver Citizen in stock. He ended up getting an upgrade from the Seiko.

^^^ Looks like he's happy! It's a great gift and it's no slam on you, but seeing the picture made me remember how anachronistic watches are becoming. I'm just imagining his generation thinking, "why would I need to wear this one thing that just tells time when I have my smart phone for that and much more." And I'm speaking as a guy who wears an automatic watch on the left wrist and my iphone watch on my right. I hope he cherish and appreciate that jewelry as the years go by. This next generation is just as into the superfluous as the last. Watches are, and have been for quite some time, jewelry. And wearable decorative ornamentation has been around for many thousands of years. It's not going anywhere.
