Get these about 6 times a day. For me the problem is when I am on call for work and must allow phone to ring, and if they are crafty and have my local area code ( thankfully my phone was originally issued in another area with a different area code than my current location) I have to pick up. Oddly enough my hospital answering service which is in my contact list comes up as “spam”

^^^^ This was my problem with being on call. I just added all of the hospital numbers that could potentially call me in and the providers’ numbers to my contact list, then blocked anything else. It seems to work. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. I really don't get text spam bullshit anymore since I dropped the smartphone and switched to a flip/dumb phone, also getting a new number. I never give out my current phone number, I use an old one for most transactions especially anything online, I only provide it to my banks, doctor, my mechanic, etc. Only to people who at some point need to call me. I get political texts. And I get texts trying to buy property I own. I have NEVER given my cell phone number to anyone I don't know personally. So they're going through at least some effort to connect the dots.
