So far this week I’ve gotten four scam invoices. Things must be slow in scammerville. A couple of them are using toll free exchanges (866/888) and a couple use doublespeak to try to make them look official. One was signed “Backhand Sales Team” and one was allegedly for a purchase of Vivianite. Had to look that one up, also know as Corpse Crystal. The fake PayPal one got forwarded to them. That one was pretty funny. Haven’t used PayPal for years and the non PP card that was attached to that order was cancelled a couple years ago. Lately my FB has been getting “likes” on posts made five to seven years ago. And several followers and “friend” requests made in comments I’ve made in threads there. And the common denominators are no mutual friends, probably half my age, alleged glamor shots and, surprise, all of them “single” or “divorced”. They all get blocked or declined as necessary. They got our county for $2.7MM. Due to early detection and fast movement, they were able to recover all of this, but the money had left the building! The takeaway is the techniques are getting more and more sophisticated beyond the FB and African prince ones. Be careful out there! Madison County scammerific! It’s been a lot quieter at home since we cancelled the landline. On one hand it’s strange as I always had a telephone at my disposal from my earliest memories since the early 1950’s. I don’t know what you guys are talking about…..I’m currently in negotiations with a Chinese lawyer that reached out because he has a client that passed and he needs a beneficiary and found my profile on Linked-in. We have emailed several times now and I stand to get 3.3 million soon! Of course, my emails started off trolling you might say….and my last one I used a translator to Hindi and addressed him as Mr. Goatfucker and signed off that his sister was a whore and mother eats dicks…in Hindi of course!
