My home is 2016 and everything is energy efficient. I hate that the diswasher cycle is 4 hours plus even when left overnight stuff is still wet.

Are you using the drying agent???
Our Bosch must have the Jet Dry or everything is damp.
It works great presuming there is juice in the reservoir.

I just topped mine up this weekend & see a noticeable improvement in drying performance, when run overnight.

Yes and I check every couple loads because the reservoir doesn't seem to last long.

Call the Samsung garbage if you like, but it at least pops the door open when it is done.

Our Bosch uses "evaporative drying" and does not have a heating element. Ours is a base model and doesn't have heating options. The water heats the dishes. At the end of the cycle, the stainless steel tub cools faster than the dishes, and draws moisture away from the dishes and lets it drain.

It works well. Rinse Aid is a must, and you never have to worry about a heating element that will melt something that accidentally touches it.

I also find that running the hot water first helps. They use so little water, you don't want to waste your fill with cold, or lukewarm water. Of course I'm wasting more water in the name of "efficiency", but that's another topic.
