Hey, Bezos? Give me a shout! I have an idea that can save you a lot of $$$!

When I have multiple orders I normally have an option to have them all arrive in one package! Depending on what I ordered and how fast I need it, I often choose that option. Surprised yours didn't offer it!

One of my recent orders included a pair of CR2016 batteries. They shipped them, separately, in a box big enough to hold a small engine battery, with packing material

I was given that option for what I ordered today. Since I wasn't in any hurry I went ahead and selected that option. Means I won't get the stuff until Monday, but I didn't need it tomorrow, anyway, so it's all good.

As an aside: I subsequently received this in email: "As part of your recent Amazon.com order ... , you have received a **90 day free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited**.* Access 100 million songs ad-free."

I don't think so.

Checked an order I recently placed which included a HEAVY item and several rather fragile ones.

WTFO?
"Shipping preference
Group my items into as few shipments as possible
"

I don't recall being given any options so this is just the default?

Got into a chat with customer service this afternoon about the fragile items being crushed if shipped in the same package as the heavy item. CS said they'd make sure they shipped separately. But my order details won't reflect this until shipping takes place.

Why am I skeptical? Roll Eyes

2 out of last 3 orders are late. One is my lime juice and I need it for Christmas cocktails! I just hope it's only delayed and not damaged.

These go to eleven.

I don’t mind something being late. I really mind it when I get somebody else’s package. Needless to say I ordered the item through Midway. At least I know I’ll get the thing. I got a refund from Amazon. Bottom line Amazon sucks.

Curious if refunds ever received above.

I've been assured twice that I would not be charged for a replacement - I would only be charged once.

Of course, I was charged twice.

Now I'm chasing a refund. I have no confidence that the refund will be received. I don't know if this is a scam Prime is playing with customers now? Or just incompetence? Or both?

How does one escalate this issue beyond first level customer service?

BTW, I ordered something end of last month and it's been stuck in transit somewhere for a week. I canceled the order and re-ordered. Let's see if I'll receive the item this time. And hope I don't get charged twice again.

I've always had very good luck with refunds. They usually appear on my account soon after the receiving shipper scans them in...usually within 4 hours

The fastest way to receive a refund is to accept a gift card for the amount

Are you messaging or speaking with someone?

Usually if something is delayed more than 3 days they offer a refund on the next day...I've never been charged for a canceled item. There are certain hubs which have a chronic problem with "stuck" items...personally I thik these are item which are stolen off the freight cards as they go through certain parts of town

If I need it sooner, I'll reorder it and it will usually arrive before the stuck item. Then I have the choice of canceling or waiting for the item to arrive and sending it back for a refund

I didn't even post my most recent issue, related to your refund issue. I ordered a 6 pack of toothpaste a couple months ago. They sent a 2 pack. I complained on chat and they reordered, but again sent me a 2 pack. Apparently the description was wrong on the site. They told me the only thing they could do was refund me, which they did.

They put the refund in as a return. I complained and they assured me it would not need to be returned. Well a month later they charged me for not returning it. I complained on chat, and was assured a refund. I did this 3 consecutive times, each time with no refund ever being issued. Finally I told them to just give an account credit it a refund was so hard. They finally did, but what a pain.

Oh and one of my last 2 deliveries was late by a day with no explanation.

These go to eleven.

The 2-day delivery deal is a crock of crap. I don't normally care that much, but when it's a critical part to fix something I use every day, and then they don't deliver, it's a problem. My Garage door opener drive shaft sheared off just below the sprocket last week. I ordered a new one thinking it would be here by the weekend, and it never showed up. Now they're saying next Sunday. Yes, I can still get the door open, but it's a huge PITA, and if I'd known they were going to take 2 weeks to deliver it, I'd have bought somewhere else.

I cancelled Amazon prime last night. We were using it for the free 2-day shipping and video, but they've started adding ads to the videos, and the selection sucks. They make you pay for extra subscriptions for anything worth watching. When they can't deliver on the two-day shipping promise either, it makes the whole thing not worth it. If we need something off of Amazon going forward, we can just wait until we have $35 worth of stuff in the cart and pick the free slow shipping...I'm done paying $15-20 a month for subscriptions that do nothing for me.
