USPS needs to be privatized. I ordered an item from the UK. Royal Mail was efficient as per usual, USPS has my package in Purgatory. Last update is 12/24. I go into my usps.com account and this is the result. What the actual fuck? I don't see a way to fix my account. I hope I didn't pay $70 for nothing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Yidn, shreibt un fershreibt" "The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. Second that - I am at wits end with them - My estimated tax payment - sent CERTIFIED - is missing. 10 days since it left Boston. WTF is the point of Certified if they are going to lose it ? This is the last one I mail - I have to switch to electronic payment. Make America Great Again |
I ordered a camera strap from Commiefornia a week ago. It made its way across the country to the local distribution center about 4 miles from my house 2 days ago, and I still haven't received it. Current tracking estimates delivery to be by 9pm NEXT TUESDAY the 21st! Heck, I could have walked there, picked it up, and walked back home several times in that amount of time!!! Pieces of feces... and yet they keep raising postage rates. ____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama _____________________________ I just can't quit grinnin' from all of this winnin'!

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Many thing that get shipped to me go through the Palmetto, GA distribution center. Hopefully that's the lowest there is in the USPS system. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

I get some of my meds through the mail. It matters when its over a week late with the statement, "arriving soon." I could get it at the local drugstore for double the cost. Lest you ask you cannot order the meds early.

Make America Great Again |
My order moved pretty quickly through the Palmetto distribution center; it's totally stalled in the Huntsville/Madison area now! This is another thing that drives me crazy about USPS... California to Nevada, then bypass Alabama altogether and land in Palmetto Georgia 200 miles away.... THEN come back west to Alabama to another distribution center! I know that's not as bad as some of the outlandish tracking results folks have reported here in the past, but it's just so danged inefficient, and they want to raise rates constantly to pay for this crap! ____________________________ Bill R. May I tag onto this thread? I got a note in my PO box saying the rent is due. Fine. Evidently this is "PO Box Customer Letter #2" -- regarding a price change. (Great... it's going up, yet again.) But Letter No. 2 fails to tell the new rate. (Thanks, USPS, for providing valuable information.) Letter No. 2 also offers an opportunity to pay online. A) Somewhat helpful, I suppose, since the PO is closed today. B) Great. Yet another account to keep up with. So I go online. I don't remember having an account, so I enter my preferred username so as to start one. "That Username is already in use." Great. I know what it is, so hit the back button and try the "forgot password" bit. Enter username and click the Continue button... "Your account is currently disabled." DaHeck, USPS? Really? Then, not five seconds later, "USPS.com This service is currently unavailable." Jeepers, man. Finally get the "reset password" thing going. USPS emails me a password. Drop that in the box and what happens? "Invalid format for password." What?!? I copied and pasted what you sent me! God bless America.

My Milt Sparks order has been in Atlanta for a month now. Milt Spstks has assured they will make it right, and I have no doubt of that. But a government run agency costing a small business hundreds of dollars seems jacked up. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

I don’t know if this will make you feel better, but…I ordered an item from Germany. It arrived at USPS facility in New York, went to customs, came out of customs and went to USPS New Jersey facility. It left there and went…back to customs. It was lost at that point. Sixteen months (yes, you read that correctly), it showed up at my door. I’d like to say there’s hope, but it’s USPS after all.

Cruising the Highway to Hell |
No joke disband this mess or force them to do their jobs. A letter was sent to me from 60 miles from here on January 3rd. Now the 22nd and it’s not here. I could have walked that distance several times in this amount of time. Bring back the pony express. “Government exists to protect us from each other. Update: I opened a new USPS account with a different email address and submitted a search request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Yidn, shreibt un fershreibt" "The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. You think you’ve got it bad, look at this. It has now devolved into a “First In - First Out”, and “We’ll get around to everything else when we have time” scenario. If you have a “traceable USPS number”, fill a “WHERE IS MY PACKAGE” complaint, and you “might” get it in a week or two, that’s what I’ve had to do more than once these past couple of weeks. Now that they’ve been exposed from within, further CYA actions might be coming soon. More at link. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Inside the United States Postal Services' regional facility on Gardiner Lane in Louisville, packages and mail — many long past due to their destination — fill bins as workers try to clear a backlog created by staffing shortages and icy routes. An employee of the facility, who wants to remain anonymous, showed pictures and videos from inside the facility weeks after nearly a foot a snow and a layer of ice coated much of the Louisville area, helping lead to a backlog of mail is still stuck at the main post office. "It's so messed up in here," another employee said. "It's unreal." [snip…] Louisville residents said tracking on their USPS packages show the mail is stuck at the Gardiner Lane location with no update on when it'll be delivered. People are still waiting on Christmas gifts, checks, medication and more. "It was like this before the weather even came," a USPS employee said. "It's going to be a long while — a long while. This postal office is packed with mail. It's ridiculous. "... There's no order, nothing. It's total chaos." USPS won't say how backed up the Gardiner Lane facility with several semitrucks arriving each day. Employees say they think it could be months before the issue is resolved. Last week, there was over 50 (semis) full of mail ... and they have packages in the barn," an employee said. "They are throwing people's packages in the barn." Employees say the barn is an extra storage area, which is frustrating as employees working there. "We still have Christmas package still in here," an employee said. https://www.wdrb.com/news/usps...1d-7f0a99012535.html --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! Request received for my needed meds on January 3. They have gone cross country and back. At one point only 75 miles from home. Arriving soon as the meds went back East to Atlanta only to be delayed by a snow storm. Keep you posted. If I did not need them it would be funny.

I order my meds from the Publix pharmacy, just a few minutes from my house. They are ready for me to pick them up the day after I order them. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The problem with ordering from Walgreens is the price difference. Most meds are higher at Walgreens. One of my drugs went from 463 for one month to 126 at the mail order, I would prefer local stores. Sadly no Publix here. Winn Dixie is closing and Aldi is moving in.

Drill Here, Drill Now |
USPS' inepetitude caused a funny text interaction between my buddy and I a few weeks back. My birthday is in between Christmas and New Year. Approx a week before Christmas, I receive my daily "USPS Informed Delivery" e-mail and unexpectedly there is a package being shipped from one of the midcities in the DFW Metroplex. My buddy lives in one of the adjacent midcities so I assume that he unexpectedly is sending me something for Christmas and/or my birthday. It doesn't arrive, and then day after day the "USPS Informed Delivery" gives a status of delayed. Not sure how it could take 10+ days to go from the DFW Metroplex to the Houston Metropolitan area, but the USPS continues to astound. On my birthday, I get 3 texts in a row from the same buddy. The last one says, "Did you get it?" I text back that I didn't get it and launch into a diatribe about the USPS' tracking system and their delays He texts back that he has no idea what I'm talking about. Did I get it? I'm confused, and text back how am I supposed to get it if the USPS won't deliver it? Finally, he texts back that he didn't send me anything USPS. Did I get the AI generated video for my birthday? I read back through the texts and find the link. The AI generated birthday video was funny. My buddy and I both LOL back and forth about the confusion on him expecting me to see the link to the video and me expecting to receive a physical package. 5 weeks later, I still don't have a package from the USPS and they stopped including it in the "USPS Informed Delivery" daily e-mail. No idea who would've sent me something from one of the midcities in the DFW Metroplex. Hooray my needed meds arrived today. Long line of course. My office has not gotten any mail for nine days. I locked the office to run to the post office and noted a wet crumpled up envenlope laying on the sidewalk. Too lazy to deliver the next day. It was a 1099 with identifying information on it. At least the entire ssn was not on it. Postal employees are the highest paid semi skilled workers in the world with NO sense of pride.
