My Mother called me the other day. She said hi, how are you doing? And then immediately asked me what I think about what President Trump is doing

I didn't take the bait

You should do some research on this guy and his legal history. His removal was lawful. He did receive due process, more than once, in the past. Trump just finished the job.

Thanks for the stupidest post I read today so far.

Garcia has been designated as an illegal since he crossed the fucking border. He has been offically designated as an MS-13 member since 2019, repeatedly by courts, by ICE, by the DOJ, by local LE that arrested him at a Home Depot. And he has admitted this as well. Other MS13 members referred to him as a "chequeo", basically a high ranking member.

In regards to your statement that he was deported by "mistake", it was a stealth DOJ Lawfare operative who purposefully wrote in a court filing that Garcia’s deportation was a “mistake.” The failure of the main DOJ to catch the lawfare operation within their ranks has triggered these lies in the media, and the reason why this asshole was fired. And you bought it hook line and sinker. Where did you read your "info", Rolling Stone Magazine?

Even if this Garcia fuck was Father of the Year, his ass should be deported immediately for entering this country illegally. And yet your mentality, which has soaked up MSN talking points, cannot comprehend this Roll Eyes.

And for the guy with no due process. You all missed the point. Lets try again? I don't know if he is ms-13, or if he is illegal. But I know that he was removed by mistake. Trump fired the lawyer that made that admission and the administration admitted as much. Here is the subtle point. If he is illegally here or ms-13, then try him and convict him and deport him. No argument there, but we all deserve due process and so does he. It is a Constitutional protection. And I quote:

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." Fifth Amendment.

It says person. The Founding Fathers put that in there for a reason. See they didn't like what the British were doing before and during the Revolutionary War. Democracies do things in the open. Not in secret and they follow orders of the court.

You have been lied to. But enjoy your Kool-aid.

I won't bother to reply to this further.

Yes, and SCOTUS did not "rule" on this case like they did with the Biden student loan forgiveness to buy votes scam which Biden/puppetmasters ignored.

SCOTUS refused to block the judge's decision for now and remanded it back to the lower court with instructions including from SCOTUSblog: "In making that clarification, the justices wrote, Xinis should take note of the “deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs.”

I guess his MSNBC news report did not include that part. Roll Eyes

Also funny how democrats are so concerned with "unelected" appointees of the President when for at least the last year who the hell knows who was running the executive branch when it clearly was not Biden.

Lindy Li (ex major DNC fundraiser for Harris) exposes who really was running the White House in the last year at least and it is names 99 percent of us have never heard of before.

Based on your passive aggressive answer, I highly doubt that you possess the self control to stay out of this thread.

Talk is big but when you can’t/won’t understand the difference between a Constitutional Republic and a democracy the dialogue is pointless.

The 5th and 14th due process clases are for CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. This idiot is not being prosecuted, just being returned to where he came from. He has no right to be in the United States. The previous stay on his deportation was because he claimed he would be harmed by a RIVAL GANG. The judge ruled he could be deported anywhere else.

So now he is safe in the custody of the El Salvadorian government and not at risk of harm by a rival gang.

There is no "bringing him back" because he cannot enter the U.S. legally. He can go somewhere else.

As for politics and friendship and family...

Most of my family are native New Yorkers many of whom live in CA now, some in NM and AK. They are life long Kennedy democrats that can't seem to understand their party left them and embraced lunacy. The one thing I see they have in common is a belief that government's job is to "help people" instead of protect our individual rights.

One of my uncles always drops negative comments about Republicans randomly into conversation. But he's like 80 now so what can you say? His late twin brother was the political opposite, and my favorite uncle. He was a lot more conservative because living in Petaluma CA he saw how shitty the democrats let SF get, and had to deal with all their insane regulations and other silliness in business. An aunt by marriage in NYC had a "Bush as Hitler" poster on her refrigerator 20 years ago so I don't talk politics with her.

I have various friends that are musicians and they tend toward the left. And I grew up in Chicago so school friends that never left Chicago (or worse, moved to CA) lean left as well. Most are not overtly political but some post lots of leftist shit on social media, which I mostly ignore, except in the cases where I know they are fine to debate and don't take it personally. Some people have de-friended me because of occasional posts, and if that's how they want to be, it's up to them.

But the thing I don't understand is how leftists seem to think everyone thinks like they do and many just blurt out their hatred of Trump and Republicans and what have you. I tend to decide what to say based on the audience and don't just blurt out politics unless I am reasonably sure there will be agreement or at least willingness to discuss and disagree politely.

It is interesting that everything the left accuses Trump of, they did themselves - censorship, propaganda, crashing the economy (COVID restrictions), ignoring science (COVID and Trans silliness), war against women (Trans silliness), weaponized prosecution of political opponents, and on and on.

Many of these people that I know are well intentioned, just horrendously wrong. They aren't dyed in the wool Marxist progressives. Part of their belief system is that Republicans or conservatives are mean, selfish people.

Their basic assumptions cause them to instantly accept everything the leftist media and politicians tell them.

But I generally don't bother trying to change their mind.

Our circle of friends has steadily been shrinking since Trump's first term (actually before that, during his first campaign). Family interaction has ceased as well with a few of my family members, including one of my sisters and several cousins. It's impossible to discuss anything rationally with a TDS afflicted self-righteous ass.

Then these people (friends and family, mind you) go on about Trump supporters being nazis, bigots, homophobes, etc. I really enjoy hearing and reading them say "Fuck Trump and his supporters".

I've given up on them. As Q posted, life's to short to be around that negativity. Fortunately I've got a great core group that includes co-workers, friends and relatives. Funny thing is with this group we don't often discuss politics even though we all think alike; we just get together and enjoy each other's company. We socialize and do things we enjoy together (hunting, fishing, shooting, training, hiking, dining and drinking, etc.). I know they always have my back.

Then there's my wife - she's a rock, plain and simple.

I do have fleeting moments when I think about the TDS folks I've disengaged with. It's tough for me but I've got better things in my life that sustain me.

Find your people, they're out there.

Yeah this idiot thinks Garcia "deserves due process" in a court trial Roll Eyes . Can one imagine just how ludicrous this idea is? A trial for each and every illegal alien in this country would be tens of millions, an impossible task. No green card, visa, proof of citizenship, etc? Get the fuck out. THAT is the law.

Pay attention Vince.Yes he is an illegal and admittingly so. He also BEAT is wife as in she filed a protective order against him. The court determined he was MS 13. Also, if you have MS 13 tats (he does) and are not MS 13, they will kill you and your family. Damn, facts are a pesky thing eh Vince.

A tale of two cities. Bordering each other. Went to high school in both late 60’s to very early 70’s.

City one, at least my old classmates that I’ve friended on FB, all pretty conservative. City two, progressive leanings, then and now. And at that time City two was the more preferred place to live, housing, amenities, income level. We lived in the lower side of town so if anything I should have been more attuned to the progressive message.

Funny how those things turn out.

My late mother was a Democrat till the day she died . She despised anything Republican and even gave Bill Clinton a pass on his shenanigans . We had some pretty lively arguments around the dinner table every Sunday . She passed away over three years ago and I still get mail addressed to her from the DNC asking for donations . I remove her name from the card , write MAGA across it and mail it back just to burn their postage . Cool

I posted in this thread back on page one.
Today was a good day. It actually was a nice ~ ten days with my Girlfriends parents here at the house.
They got to spend quality time with their daughter and granddaughter.

Almost zero political commentary/discussions.
But today was special. I'm not an early riser generally since retirement. I was up at 05:15 AM this morning.
Then a four hour round trip to their departure airport.
Peace, quiet, and sanity has returned again.
