Arby’s, we have the meats! NOPE!
Wife was gonna stop and pick up some Arby’s roast beef sandwiches for dinner. My favorite is the beef and cheddar classic. She just called and said Arbys has no roast beef.

Whaaaaaaat?! so now I’m eating Arby’s crispy chicken? I guess it’s a meat, technically, but not the one that I think Arby’s is known for and what I wanted.

This happened to us once before in the past, which is what makes it so funny. About 10 to 15 years ago we stopped at a Boston Chicken as they were at the time serving somewhat of a healthy meal with sides and such. We get to the counter order and the bobble-head informs us there is no chicken but plenty of side dishes. I said this is Boston Chicken right? Not Boston Side Dishes. Maybe that’s why they are now called Boston market?

My favorite Arby"s is the Reuban x"s 2. ............ Could be that whoever is responsible for ordering replacement supplies is not at physical location but some bean counter at a location outside of the country................................ drill sgt.

Around here, they're mostly called "closed" or "out of business."

Wife and I like those, and also their gyros. We usually lurk until they are on sale.

It was a long time ago, but I once went into a sub sandwich shop and they were out of bread. Not just one kind of bread, but bread, period. Everybody screws up sometime.

I used to love their Market Fresh series of sandwiches, specifically the roast beef and swiss. Unfortunately they stopped offering them around these parts.

Your story is too funny as we had a similar experience at Burger King about 15 years ago.

They were out of meat for burgers.

No burgers at Burger King.

Arby's. I went there all the time.

Didn't like when they changed the recipe for the fries. Lady behind the counter said they were 'better'.

I tried them and they tasted like dog food. Nope. Never again. That was back in 1996.

The roast beef is still good though.

Maybe a recall on the roast beast?
If that's the case, be thankful.

Now I want a beef-n-cheddar.

They don't have potato cakes anymore either. Generations of sacrifice, for what?

My local one has them because they serve breakfast.
The manager told me that potato cakes should be returning nationwide soon.

I miss the salad as the side.

I remember when the *meat* was hung rotating in chains, in a plexiglass red-lighted display on the counter top. Never could figure out what cut of beef it was.

Here they also add the Red Ranch sauce.
Which reminds me of a Red French dressing.

Growing up in Cincy they did not add that sauce to beef n cheddar but is was part of the Roast Beef Deluxe which included lettuce and tomato.

Ah, Arby’s. You don't need roast beef there:

A couple Arbys nearby just closed. Wasn’t surprised.
They have been removing our favorite items for a while. Potato cakes, red ranch sauce, chicken cordon blue, ham sliders, the half pound french dip. They seem to have forgotten how they got here in the quest to expand.

I used to eat there fairly regularly but I haven’t been to one in probably the last 2 years.

Yeah, the Boston Market down the street from us closed about a year ago, just sitting empty. I was surprised as the location is a highly populated area at a major intersection and right by a Publix.

But we never went there in the last 15 or so years, so maybe there were a lot of other folks who just didn't visit them. Lots of other choices for take out or delivery in this area.

No Arbys, though.
