For a project I had. This is something that goes back quite a while. Think I could find them now that I would like to tackle the job? Hell no

cparktdYou WILL find them… After the job is done and while looking for something for the current task.

And pencil. I could have an entire box of #2 pencils sitting on the work bench and lose every damn one of them in half an hour. On a slow day...

WaterburyBobThe day after you buy the screws needed, you’ll find them.

right next to the tape measure
I have 2 tape measures so that I can have one inside where I'm working and one out in the garage where I'm cutting. It never fails that my dumbass ends up carrying one or the other to the opposite place and leaving it there, so I have zero tape measures in one place, and two in the other.

scratchyThis is how I ended up with 4 coffee cans of screws.

The tape measure is what I lose track of mostly. I now have at least 4 tape measures lying around 5 including the one in the truck.

YooperSigsOn any project, it comes down to "I need to run to the hardware store for some screws" and then starting the project only to find I already had a full box of them stored away.
This keeps Lowes, HD and Ace Hardware thriving!

PatriotMy shop is like a squirrels yard…
A few weeks ago, my pool pump blew a run capacitor. No worries, ordered a few off of my pool site. Figured I’d order a new pump motor as the model is getting older and parts harder to find. Need a few shaft seals too for when I replace the motor. Shit, need a few gaskets too.
Get all the parts in and go to store them…and what do I find. A box of gaskets, shaft seals, etc for when I last rebuilt the damn pump front end!
I can’t tell you how many times I have found boxes of crap that I ordered in the past when going to put away things I recently ordered.
It sucks getting old!
