I get tinted safety glasses from WalMart, starting at about 60 bucks, I pay maybe 120 with prescriptions. They are virtually indestructible, and yes, I used the old man string on them.

This is the reason that I try to avoid black things when there's a choice. I don't like black wallets, black key cases, black cell phones, black pens, etc. They have a definite tendency to hide in plain sight.

My neighbor was trying to unclog his sewer line yesterday. His Rx sunglasses slipped off his face and somehow unfortunately folded and went down the clean-out, thence down the sewer line. He is sad.

One time I "lost" my eyeglasses. Looked for it everywhere in the house. Ended up finding it at the bottom of the pool. I was working on something out there in the dark, and it fell off my face but I was totally oblivious.
