So with recent trouble with Capital One not taking Postal Money Orders to pay my card's monthly payment, I started using my Visa card with Chase. I had to drive to my credit union to deposit the money orders.....120 miles one way. FUC1

So looks like Chase is playing games as well. The balance due does not include credit from one transaction and the redemption credit.

Now I will be checking the past transactions from a year ago to see if the tried to pull the same act. Can't trust some banks. May have to revert back to cash payments.

Why don’t you just pay online like the rest of the free world? Lol.

Direct from your bank account via EFT. No games to be played.

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

Good luck with cash payments, Comerica will not accept those at teller's windows. They will accept checks at the windows only if drawn on a Comerica account. But they will take EFT's when paying online from any financial institution.

We have to be missing something.

You're using a credit card so clearly you're not a cash-only luddite. You apparently use banks, so you don't have all your assets in gold and bullets and are afraid of all that electronic money flying through the air.

But you feel the need to give your bank a money order as a form of payment rather than a check? Or as others suggest maybe an electronic payment?

That can't be all there is.

I do pay online but I had these postal money orders from some guns that I sold and they wouldn't take them at Capital One bank. I waited about 20 minutes for the manager but he was talking to his wife or girl friend planning the weekend. So I just left since I had other things to do. So I get hit with a late payment.

They won't cash them at my post office. The total was $3200.

They said they don't always have enough cash on hand. In my case, I could see that they could be short. You have to wonder how much cash they take in selling money orders each day.

Go to the post office on Saturday and see the line of foreigners sending money back home by postal money orders. Mad

The credit union that I use, has remote deposit.

I can use their app and take a picture of the check or money order that I want to deposit.

No gas burned, no travel time, no standing in line.

Seriously? You’re putting the blame on the bank. The manager is having a social visitation. Two words, “EXCUSE ME!” Works every time. Never had to resort to, “EXCUSE THE FUCK OUT OF ME”, but it’s in my arsenal if I need it.

Looks like Chase gave me credit on my previous month statement. While it is in my favor, what kind of accounting is that?

One of the tellers interrupted the manager twice while several staff people were in the cubical BSing.

"“EXCUSE THE FUCK OUT OF ME”...I may have to add that to my vocabulary. Big Grin
