It is universally horrible, fucking annoying and totally unnecessary. Just stop it.

Preach it brother!

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Agreed, it's terrible. It's rapidly becoming very pervasive though and I think there's no stopping it now. In a couple more years they'll get it to the point that it's at least not painful to listen to, but for now yeah it sucks.

Pronunciation, inflection, timing, accent - it all sucks right now. And acronyms...some of them are actually hilarious.

There have been quite a few videos that I wanted to watch, and the channel's owner would have an intro in his/her own voice that sounded fine. Once the actual video begins it's AI for the voice-overs, and I bloody hate it! I have ended the majority of them early because I just couldn't tolerate it any more!!! Mad

Not only do I end them early, I hit the 'Do not recommend this channel' option. Yeah, slightly petty, but it (usually) eliminates any irritation of continuing to get them fed to me;

I read the OP and my brain translated it to "AI generated subtitles in videos", which is also incredibly annoying. But I agree with the OP's intended meaning.

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

They just have a few generic voices, same ones they use for those ads.

I've picked up on the vocabulary like, "in this video, we will delve..." I don't find too many people using the word "delve."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
