The media seems to have a major hard-on for this guy.

He seems to be getting an abnormal amount of publicity from the networks. He's right up there with Taylor Swift. The Dickweed must be getting ready to run for political office in TX.

You take that back. Razz
He was a badass in that True Detectives 1 and that space movie Interstellar.
But your point, I can understand. I see it.
His involvement beyond the movies can seem a bit much.

He’s a native here and very well respected. He’s a genuine good person and Texan. It’s not his fault he likes football, especially his college team, that he supports and I’m sure supports with his $. Blame the cameramen and anchors, etc, on whatever tv station that I don’t watch. I’ve seen a clip of him at a college football game, think it was in College Station playing A&M a few weeks ago. He was just standing somewhere on the sideline with his hat on, watching the game. He didn’t wave to the camera, even look at it, or do alright alright or nothing. He was there to watch his team. The last thing that he is, is a dickweed. He went to UT, and actually got a degree so it’s his Alma Mater. His dad played college football for 2 different universities. He’s Christian too and does not hide it or downplay it in Hollywood, at all. So knowing that actually hurts him in Commiefornia, he stands his ground and stands for God. He lives in Austin, goes to church in Austin. It’s where he went to college too. About as authentic as it gets.

From what I’ve heard and seen, agreed. My sis worked in film, and she said he was awesome to the crew, met everybody at the door of his parties with a shot (or nonalcoholic) and was just first class to everyone. Couldn’t say enough nice things.
And he is super dreamy looking Wink

You're not giving me much of a selection to choose from. How about adding a few beautiful scantily clad women to the list? Big Grin

If Sigforum doesn't think he's a Dickweed, that is good enough for me.
I'm still sick of seeing his dreamy A$$ all the time. Looks like I'm not alone.

Well first off Matt is Texan. As I said before, he went to school there and got a degree. Your site source is ESPN, which is owned by Disney. Matt ain’t there to be on TV. He’s there because he’s a UT nut. The same as Bama nuts. The same as Barkley nuts about Auburn. Same as Razorback nuts. In your video reference, he’s trying to get away from the camera and the bullshit. Spike Lee is a notorious NYC fan, especially the Knicks. He’s there every game, bitching at referees, etc. All be damned if we got our own Texan doing the same thing with our college team, and acting like an adult, Texan style, hat it tow. Alright Alright, I say.

Those are rookie numbers in this racket. You need to pump those numbers up.

You can’t turn on a tv without seeing an NFL player or snoop dog in some commercial or another; I’ll take McConaughey over Mahomes or the Kelce’s any day of the week.

He is active on Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.. I don't think he is looking to be a fly on the wall when he shows up at every game looking like the pioneer woman's husband. Big Grin

Yeah, the football know-it-all he plays on those ads is pretty grating so there's that.

It's been several years now, MM was on David Feherty's Golf Channel show where DF interviewed celebrity golfers, Bill Russell, Samuel L. Jackson and the like. MM was not at his peak yet but known to be sure. He came off very poorly, extremely egotistical, full of himself, an insufferable braggart. I was surprised he'd be so open about it.

Judging how others now perceive him and tempered by his love for Texas, I have reevaluated my opinion of him. Somewhat. It's hard to get totally past that guy who was on Feherty's show that night.
