RogBHIYA blocked #s still leaving voice mails
HIYA has been effective in blocking calls not on my contact list but lately I've been getting VMs from numbers that are blocked.
Checking the FAQs, found this:
For older versions of Android we used to be able to block numbers from going to voicemail. However, on recent versions of Android, all call management apps (like Hiya) are prevented from hanging up on blocked calls (but you can still send blocked numbers straight to voicemail). If/when Google lifts this limitation, we will gladly make it available to you.
So the phone doesn't ring on a blocked call but I still get to listen to the incessant voice of a car salesman etc. I had no idea it was a Google restriction.

selogicI guess I'm fortunate . I get very few unwanted calls . It ramps up at election time but other than that they are few and far between .

parabellumI can't help but be curious. Is this a big problem for you? That is to say- have you blocked a lot of phone numbers and these people are leaving you lots of voice mails to which they never get a response?
In all my years of cell phone usage, I've never blocked even one phone number.
Are these mostly friends or are they mostly business associates? You mention car salesmen but is it just car salesmen? It sounds like you're a popular fellow.

RogBYeah problem was mostly recent and primarily from car dealers. I was shopping for end of year deals and when you use CarGurus your info spreads far and wide.

Was it required to give them your phone number ?
