To save file size/bandwidth. Pixels that don't change during the animation don't take up any additional bandwidth.

You have no idea how close that is to my house (minus the freeloading cat). With the exception my deer is mounted on a loft's wall (15 foot celings), the beam is close to the same and even the wall color matches!!
