Meet Esper. (named by a grandson) Some a-hole dumped her and at least one other litter-mate on our road about three years ago. She was tiny, barely old enough to be weaned, but she could eat soft foods. A neighbor took one and we kept her. She was wounded badly on her neck and I figured she ought to be put down. The wife nursed her back to health, cleaning and treating the wound at the direction of the vet twice a day. She spends all day outside on our 4ac unless its below 40 degrees and never leaves out lot that I have seen. She comes in every night. The first full summer here she did in a couple months what I could not do in the previous three years... rid the yard of moles! Completely. She also catches snakes, mice and lots of lizards and unfortunately the occasional bird. Collecting dust. | |||
