That triggered a memory from Junior High and typing class. (Yeah, me and a couple of guys took typing, to meet chicks, and yes it worked...)
Me, CW (Cecil Williams), and another kid who's name eludes me.
We had a mix of old manual typewriters and the "new" IBM electric with the ball, and we had to switch around every few days so we could learn both.
We were seated far apart by the teacher "to prevent shenanigans", and one day, one of the guys was pecking with the roller bar up, on a mnual so it made a "thwack" and the other guy started smacking my keys harder than normal, and it sounded like "gun fire, so I started "rapid firing" on the electric, (it sounded like that cat) then the other guy started hitting a few rapid fires back, and the "firefight" was on!.
For about 30 seconds...
then we had to go inspect the chairs outside of the Principal's office and "splain ourselves".
I got a girlfreind, Karen Martin, and flunked typing class.
Paid too much attention to Karen to know if the other guys got anything but failing grades.
Funny, that I ran into CW abouut 15 years later, while in the USAF. We talked about a lot of things we got in trouble over, including typing class.
