Mine is a Maine coon, small at just 12Lbs. His brother though is the big boy. About 30" long nose to butt and weighs around 20Lbs. Often wondered what they'd look like shaved though.

They both seem to weigh more but I guess that the fur just gives that illusion. I really can't imagine the longer fur kitty's here in S. Fla with the heat and humidity sometimes, as mine likes to lay out on the pool deck furniture and watch the residential backyard wildlife. The photo above of the Fuzz is a couple of years ago when he was most likely about 13-14lbs. He's not really a big guy at all. In fact he and his sister were the last of a litter and small. If my wife and her friend didn't take them they were going to the shelter. Me mostly being a dog person in the past, the wife just took a risk and brought him home. He was just 3mos. I took to the little guy and the rest is history and currently my best bud, spending hours each day with me. An absolute character. I never miss a day of the cat threads as they make my day some days, love the photos and humor too!
