Beautiful, but sad song by Karla Bonoff, I think I read she wrote and recorded this song about her cat . Whether she did or didn't, it is a special song worth thinking about. Especially when you find claw marks on your sofa.

That reminds me, the old cat I had while growing up passed away several years ago. My family and I were never able to get him to stop scratching on our living room table so it has a lot of marks from him on it. This last year my mom just gave me that old table.
