Granted some of them is small, but there is 7 cats on that bed...

A 8lb cat can generate more warmth than a 30lb dog when used to keep the bed warm.

I used to compare the cat on the bed to a concrete block. Then along came the dog and it was like someone dropped a tree across the bed. Other issues: The cat would just grumble and get down when it got a foot under it. The dog would snarl and sometimes bark.
