Ronin1069Job titles within job postings
Director of Operations
VP or Operations
These are the titles I have been seeking as I do a passive job search during my not so busy part of the year.
Used to be those were the titles that were known to be well over $100k gigs and in most cases, oversee multiple district managers.
Within the past year I’ve seen that those same titles are being used by restaurants (especially fast food) to become fancy ways of titling store managers and assistant managers.
Irritating as F when I’m trying to scroll through my filtered Indeed ads.
Thank you for listening to my rant.

Flash-LBAround 1973 I lived next door to a very nice guy, not very bright though, who was a delivery driver for a donut shop.
He told me he was going to go in and demand a raise from the boss.
A few days later I asked him how it went. He said very well and that he'd been promoted to Executive Vice President of the donut shop and even had business cards to prove it.
I asked what his duties were now and he said the same as they were before, he still delivers donuts.
So I asked how big his raise was and he said they told him he had to work a year in his new position before he got a raise.
There's a sucker born every minute.

egregoreI cleaned the shop and picked up parts as well as running other errands, so that made me Director of Facility Maintenance and Logistics.
