That or progressive lenses.

Oddly the rest of the post didn’t…post.

I wear glasses and was corrected to 20/20 about -1.25 rx. All good until this summer, now I can’t focus on the book with contacts or glasses. Without, the tv is blurry and I shouldn’t drive.

A bit of astigmatism but the red dot is mostly a circle without and nice with glasses.

The front sight is still okay.

How does that front site look?

Welcome to gettin' old.
Honestly, if you have a good eye Dr, hit them up and have them let you know what magnification they recommend.

If not- there's a million alternatives. Goo with a book or newspaper to a CVS/Walgreens/ Local drug store and take a look at the "cheaters" / Reading glasses.
+1.00 / +1.25 / +1.50 / +1.75 / +2.00 ....
Toss on the 1.00 and see how it looks. Look at the book / newspaper...
Then take a look at the +1.25 and see if that's better. Then the +1.50...

Then buy yourself a handful of them!
I've got one in my office, one in my truck, one in the living room, one in the bedroom, one in the basement, two in the garage. Allegedly there's one perched on my head at all times, that I usually can't find.

I’m trying the single contact thing but it’s odd.

The non correct ped eye is fine at normal reading distance but the corrected eye is blurry.

I was 20/20 my entire life and never put on a pair of glasses except sunglasses in the car and beach. When I hit age 48 or so a few years back my vision close up went to shit and I could no longer read a medicine bottle or see my phone clearly at default font size or even read a restaurant menu. Went to the eye doc and was told this was 100% normal for people that age and welcome to the world of reading glasses.

What's weird is my Dad wore glasses from about age 8 to about 2 years ago when he got laser surgery and no longer needs them. He's 80 now and still looks funny to me without them.
