ArtyI used to think that John Travolta was typecast by "Welcome Back, Kotter." I could not take him seriously in Saturday Night Fever or Grease.
However, since then he has become a great villain and an actor that I enjoy watching. He has matured well.

) had his serious car accident in 1977, as the filming of
Star Wars was wrapping up. He had plastic surgery, and went on to do many films and TV shows after the accident, including
The Empire Strikes Back and
Return of the Jedi.
His career in voice work didn't really take off until the early/mid 90s, so it wasn't in response to the car accident.
