Just think about planning the nice meal you'll have tomorrow after the deed is done.

The secret is to take it easy the day BEFORE the prep. Don't eat a lot of meat. Just soft things.

The current prep is MUCH better than the horrible tasting mix of potions I took ten years ago.

I dunno. The best I've dealt with is Suprep. One little 8oz or so bottle of lime-flavored Gatorade type stuff and that's that. Hang on for the ride. Go Lytely was horrible, like drinking snot. Now it seems they mostly just have you take a whole freaking bottle of Miralax and you just shit yourself silly all the way up to them wheeling you back for naptime.

I just had one last friday. Took the pills. About 30 minutes after my second set of pills i got sick and started puking. Kept going though. had the procedure and I wasn't cleaned out to the extent the doctor wanted, so he wants to see me in 3 years instead of 5. Good news was he didn't see any pollyps.

Had one back in April; not a lot of “fun”. Doc says they don’t recommend colonoscopies after age 75. As I’m now 74, that’ll be the last one unless I notice some dramatic changes.

My first one, we leave the clinic and wife asks, "Where do you want to go eat, McDonalds, Wendy's, Popeyes?" I reply, "ALL of them, I'm STARVING!"

I have to do my first one, or it was really due last year. I’ve heard you can just do the shit in a bag and mail thing. Anyone done this over Colonoscopy?

You can but my doctor said it’s not as accurate - he did it anyway. I didn’t get that option.

Been there done that AND then still had to schedule the full monty because the results indicated something less than nominal. The additional stress was most assuredly not worth the perceived, initial convenience. Quite frankly, I had no issues with prep and procedure proved to be one of the best naps I’ve had! Just freaking man up and do it — my wife most assuredly did not appreciate the “crap in a box” results and stress vs procedure and biopsy results!

Due to diverticulitus bouts, ive been getting scoped every 5 years since i was 30. The prep has gotten better. 30 years ago had to drink a gallon of some stuff that tated awful, and left you shitting the bed even after 12 hours. Last one was take 4 ducolax and a bottle of miralax mixed with lemon lime gatorade over a hour. Complete after 5 hrs.

Hint: Wet wipes.

After last one as we were getting ready to leave, asked my wife to stop for chilli dogs, Doc was not amused.
