Told cops where to go for over 29 years…

My daughter sent me a 50lb package on 12/5 FedEx ground. Has to be ground due to lithium batteries.

She texted me a pic of the receipt with tracking info and an expected delivery date of 12/11. I thought ”Gee, that’s not bad considering distance (SE Iowa to western WA) and that it is the Christmas rush during winter weather”

You can imagine my surprise when the day after she dropped it off I got a “Your package is on the way” email saying it would delivered Sunday 12/8. Damn, Sunday delivery and in just 3 days for a ground shipment, wow!

This expected delivery date remained in place until sometime on Monday 12/9 when tracking showed the package arrived in Oregon and I was provided an updated delivery estimate for Tuesday 12/10. Being familiar with the time it takes for FedEx to get from Troutdale to me, I knew Tuesday was not likely but I might see package on the original expected date of 12/11. Cool, still a good deal.

On Tuesday, I got an email that delivery was now going to be Wednesday 12/11. Considering the package was still at Troutdale, I doubted it. Not sure why it sat there for 30 hours before continuing on.

On Wednesday night I got the email saying delivery would be Thursday and Thursday morning the tracking showed it arrived to Burlington (local distribution center) and was on the truck for delivery.

The Thursday delivery guess (between 4 and 6 pm) was still in place when I went to bed last night at 10pm. With the tracking still showing it was one the truck.

This morning, at 5 am I was notified my package was delayed again and would be delivered today, tracking shows it was back at Burlington (2 am), but once again on a truck for delivery at 5:26 am.

At this point I know how a cat feels chasing the laser…

I ordered 1,000 rounds of HST ammo about this time last year. It was shipped FedEx.

Received a delivery notification with a picture. It was not my house. The picture looked like a condo complex with rear entry garages and message said “place by garage door.”

Geodes would not talk to me because I was not the shipper.

I got in touch with the shipper the next business day, told them it was not my house, I was in the living room by the front door at the delivered time, cameras see 360 deg around my house plus the street in front. Told them the driver would be seen by 4 cameras to get to my garage and FedEx had not driven down my street. I even sent a pic of me in front of my house with visible address. The shipper said that does not look like the picture.

He asked me to walk around town to look for a complex like the picture. I told him there are over 250,000 people here.

The shipper filed a claim with FedEx and after 10 days, they denied it saying they have proof of delivery. The shipper said they would reship but then went silent. He would not answer any communication, until I disputed the charge with AMEX.

Be then blocked me as a customer.

I hate whenever someone ships me something via FedEx.

Fed Ex shipped a holster to wrong address this summer. Pretty much the same response from all involved. Through my own ignorance and lack of response from shipper it took nearly 3 months to determine it was shipped in a couple weeks from order.

Seems my bitching needed to be directed towards PayPal. Credit where due they quickly resolved the problem when I told them what was up.

Mixed feelings about all involved. It can be argued it was my fault from the jump. It was my first experience with all but FedEx, second time they’ve misdelivered a pkg to the same damn wrong address, I’ll blame driver dislexia.

They had an estimated delivery of a table saw to a customer for last Tuesday. Each day, the package showed out for delivery. Each day it was updated as “delivery exception.” No restricted access to customer’s house. No reason it did this 4 days in a row. Asked if the customer could pick up at the hub. “They might let him but I can’t promise anything.” Finally got home office to blow up FedEx customer care to get them off their asses. Supposed to have resolution by Monday. We shall see.

So I check tracking last night at 6:30 or so and it was back to showing no expected delivery date with the comment “Delivery date will be provided once shipment is moving” or something similar.

Tracking still said “On truck for delivery” though Roll Eyes

An hour later, it arrives, box was beat to shit but it works.

After waiting 2 days for a particular package listed as "On truck, out for delivery" I caught the driver as he was delivering a different package to my door. I asked where my other package was that's been on his truck for two days. He explained to me that as packages are stacked on the loading dock behind each truck, they are listed as "On truck" in the system. But if the truck cubes out before getting everything loaded, the package will remain listed as "On truck" until it eventually gets loaded. And there's no guarantee that the packages that didn't make today's load will be first on tomorrow.

Frustrating as hell, but at least I now understand the logistical malfunction is not the driver's fault.

Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later.

At least you could track all the travels.
