Pocket Holsters
Try as I might, I cannot find a pocket holster that stays in the pocket on the draw, and I have tried many, including the most famous names in holster manufacturing.
I give up.

Have you tried a Mika holster? His design includes a sticky band sewn around the holster which does a good job of sticking to the pocket fabric and keeping it in your pocket. I've had many over the years and haven't had a problem with them coming out of my pocket.

I use Sticky Holsters

In some pockets I can't pull the holstered pistol out without pulling the pocket inside out. They are sticky enough to be used inside the waist band without a belt clip.

What about technique, are you ‘helping’ the holster separate from the handgun? I don’t think it has to be a Wyatt Earp level of speed.

I look at pocket holster’s main job is to carry the gun safely and securely. It may be slightly down the list for ‘quick draw’.

Been around a long time, USA based out of FL

Have a couple, they work well to keep the gun upright in the pocket and stick in it, they also work well IWB, no clips to keep it in,

What gun, holster, and pants?

The little Galco in the top right corner of this picture stays put just fine, in jeans, 5.11 uniform pants, and shorts. Heck, even swim trunks.

But it did take a bit of breaking in for it to form to the point where it was a clean draw every time.

I have had very similar experiences. I tried A leather pocket holster from Barsony and it has worked fine. Either the hook at the front or the hook at the rear catches, depending on the shape of the pocket.

High capacity is not an acceptable substitute for good marksmanship.

Another vote for MIKA. I've got one for my S&W 640 and my P365XL.

I'll second that the Galco Ph158 is good pocket holster that stays put.

I use mine in my jacket inside pocket in cold weather.

FYI, the ph158 pocket holster also fits a colt ds.

My Boraii holsters stay in the pocket when drawing.

Ever thought about using a safety pin or similar method to attach it to your pocket? You could also use a piece of 550 cord through the opening and a safety pin if you had a leather holster. Just keep the cord short. You could even do two points of attachment to keep it exactly where you want it. Just an idea.

A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

I've got all three sizes in this brand. Lately I'm just using the sub-compact to tote my LCP Max.

The Aholster pocket is the best in the business. I have probably purchased over 10 in the last decade. Stays in the pocket with its two wings that catch the pocket fabric.

My wife and I both carry P3AT's in a Big River Leather pocket holster. My wife carries hers every day. I only carry mine when i'm wearing dress clothes. Never had an issue with the holster staying put when we've done range sessions with them.

I am going to try the AHolster, since they offer a fit for my Kimber snub. Thanks for the info. They have a deal going where if you order a second holster, its 30% off!
