You just know he did it on purpose.
Backed in, way over the curb. Made sure the tires hit the curb, maximum intrusion over the sidewalk.
Check the exhaust tip....yeah, he let it idle for 5 minutes rattling the windows. Obnoxiously loud, even at idle.
Check the tow hitch. Watch your shins.
Skinny little punk kid, 100 pounds soaking wet.

I’m glad you took and posted that picture, for that’s one of my peeves in life.

It’s a sidewalk, not a curb. And people with crutches and wheelchairs (and their supporting families) would like to use it as such.

I didn’t take the pic, but I recently saw the situation that would one-up yours: same scene, basically, but in the handicap space. Wink

God bless America.

I share your bitch and that's a perfect example of assholiness, but...

Most parking spaces these days, at least around here, are sized for a Toyota Corolla, not a full-sized truck.

I try not to park like an asshole, but that usually means parking out in the boonies and using two spaces.

Hey, Paul, what’s wrong with parking out in the two-space boonies? Razz

It’s only a short bed. A long bed would be another foot and a half.

This is the first I’ve heard that this is a problem. The option is having the nose of the truck sticking out in the travel lane which I thought would be worse.

I have a Ridgeline which is a little narrower and a lot shorter than a full size truck and I struggle with it in many parking lots. I couldn't imagine having to maneuver a full size or heaven forbid dually in some of those lots! Or many of the narrow roads for than matter. When I know I'll be in tight parking lots I try to take the Corolla HB because it's SO easy to park and there's plenty of room to open the doors.

Was delivering to a convenience store pushing about 400 pounds on a hand truck down the sidewalk and a guy did that to me.
He got out and looked at me and saw me looking at him, started to walk in, looked at me again and I said it's your new truck.
He got back in and pulled up a couple feet.
I swear to God I've never been a vandal, but just the cocky look on his face.

See it here all the time. Fucking ball on the hitch is always spotless (never even been used). Aggravates the fuck out of me as my receiver has rust (from putting in watercraft in lake) and my ball has all kinds of marks and dings on it. So many fake ass mother fuckers out in society. 100 pounds soaking wet? Yup, typical. Small dick syndrome. Take pride in knowing that punk ass ain’t getting none and if he is, he has to pay big money for it.

I drive a 6' bed midsize truck. Short bed full size trucks are ghey.

Observation/question: is there no license plate on that truck?

The hitch over the walkway bugs me much more than being backed up tires to the curb.
I tend to back in until the edge of the bumper is at the edge of the curb via the backup camera.

My truck is over 20 feet long (extended cab, 8' bed). It doesn't fit in most parking spaces. I also keep my hitch installed, as it gets used at least once a week during boating season...in fact most times that I'm driving the truck im towing something.

I typically park out in the boonies, because I'm not afraid to walk and it's actually good for me. But sometimes that's not an option because some lots don't have "boonies". In this particular case, I'd have to choose overhanging the sidewalk or sticking way out in the road. I'd pick the sidewalk. People can take half a step to the side. It's not that hard.

Oh, and I'm 6'5" 195, but I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

My Mini's out of commission right now, so I'm in a loaner F150. It'll hangover the curb a lot more.than our Expedition, so camera to the curb is the way.

Fair, but those things turn, don't they? Every one I've ever pushed has. I would never park so close to a wall that there wasn't ample room to get through. And it looks from this picture that that's the case here as well.
