Delusions of Adequacy |
I think we just need to demand that your sig line be the link to the full size version of your current avatar. I have my own style of humor. I call it Snarkasm.

Excellent, except I like reading most of the signatures, but may try it for a while. Thanks !!!

Alea iacta est |
There are at least as many who don't give a fuck. I call people out whenever I see it, and I'd say it's probably 60/40 that they tell me they don't care or mind my own business or some other such bullshit vs them actually doing something about it (or even asking how to). Not only is it fucking annoying, it's fucking ignorant. It's a waste of bandwidth, especially for those who have caps (rural wireless service, cell phone service, etc). People like that should be stricken from the internet IMO.

I am just the opposite. I like the avatars because it easily (visually) identifies the poster, but signatures can be ridiculously long. It would be nice if there were a way to select one or the other to block, but the software is what it is, and this remains the best forum family around.

Equal Opportunity Mocker |
My avatar just went away, said something about 3rd party settings on my host (which is photobucket). Whassup with that? ________________________________________________ "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. There are two threads about it. Look at them. Oh, you'd be surprised. I've been called crass for posting pics of faces before. If so, there's no requirement to have an avatar. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

I'm thinking about this for my new avatar. Deleted humorous / sarcastic photo to ensure peace and harmony on the interwebz. This message has been edited. Last edited by: RHINOWSO,

Some people don't know any better... or they're new... that's fine. But we have this same thread a few times a year and there are a few people that still have their same huge avatar for a decade or so now. _____________________________________________________ Sliced bread, the greatest thing since the 1911.

lol I'll use this as my avy: "I'm yet another resource-consuming kid in an overpopulated planet raised to an alarming extent by Hollywood and Madison Avenue, poised with my cynical and alienated peers to take over the world when you're old and weak!" - Calvin, "Calvin & Hobbes"

I've used animated gifs on only a few occasions. It's not really my thing. But if I was gonna use one like that, it'd be: "I'm yet another resource-consuming kid in an overpopulated planet raised to an alarming extent by Hollywood and Madison Avenue, poised with my cynical and alienated peers to take over the world when you're old and weak!" - Calvin, "Calvin & Hobbes"

I remember the 60x60 requirement being specified when adding an avatar, so even new members should see it. Does it show up every time you change an avatar? I don't know since I've kept the same one from the start. SIGforum's triple minority "It can't rain all the time." - Eric Draven

Yes the 60x60 warning does show up every time as I change mine for the major holidays. Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.
