2004, newly minted paramedic. $10/hr.

Worked 48 hours a week. Plus a part time gig. Plus full time college.

Took 16 more years of that kinda schedule to get my shit together to where 40 hrs/week was comfortable.

Still working 60 hours a week though out of habit lol


Last time I made minimum wage was working in my family’s tobacco fields in the 90s. $5.00/hr.
