I have learned that on most topic's,99% of the member's of this forum know a lot more,or have more experience, when it come's to gun's,ammo,or anything related to gun's.

So i know i would have my ass handed to me if i ever had a brain fart and wanted to engage a member on gun or gun related disagreement.

And i am happy with that.I learned a long time ago to just listen and and watch the outcome of a couple gun owner's disagreement, and try to learn something from both member's expertise.

I agree with the member who posted this is para's house. And i will be polite, respectful, and follow the rule's of being in para's house.

I was in a robbery in the bay area 16 year's ago.The one perp beat my neck and head 12 time's with a colt saa pistol.

I went from asst. vp of a large retail company to being on life support for a week, 4 neck surgery's to try and fuse 3 vertebra in 12 piece's back to normal, etc.

So arguement's or disagreements i stay away from,as i learned when your faced with your mortality, a lot of life's petty issue's really do not matter

I know a lot of sf member's have had military or personal life incident's that are similar.

So in the big picture,a arguement about a topic that get's 2 guy's in a pissing match is something i avoid.Life is to short for me to get sideway's with another sf member, except when the subject of topis is scarlet.

Why doesn't anyone mention ellie mcCpherson???

When it comes down to it, it really is giving what you get.

I have found the membership here a cut above the rest, and WAY, WAY above the rest of what you get on the general internet.

Even some of the discussions that have been contentious, I've found that the people I disagree with here are at least rational, and have a well thought out argument.

Even the email conversations where we ahve been at 100 percent opposite viewpoints I have had adult conversations here. That is something I have not seen ANYWHERE else on the internet.

I'm always up for a debate with people that can be respectful and make an actaul point/counterpoint debate.

After all, that is HOW we learn, and how we attempt to convince other people to our viewpoint.

One of the things I love about THIS place, and have not seen in any other corner of the interwebz, is that here people VALUE the sense of community and being banned, or kicked out of here is a BAD, BAD thing... People don't want to be booted from here, at least if they are contributing members.

That means that even discussions that are dear to a person's heart, and they are passionate about, they won't cross the line into douchebag territory. Here, people honestly get invested in the community and don't want to lose that.

That speaks highly of the ownership and moderation, but even more highly of the sense of community there is here. Very few are willing to risk losing that by being an ass. That says a lot.

Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."
