Laying here, with my foot/ankle elevated for another two weeks?

Might as well break out the butterfly nets.

Nerve block is wearing off.

Oh boy. I am too old to tough this out.

I learned a long time ago that Docs normally know what they are talking about when it comes to pain control.

Wow, that's crazy! Hope you get well soon and you get plenty of rest and comfort until then.

Yeah, for the most part. Big Grin

Opiates are your friend right about now. Hang in there, it'll get better.

The Mrs was looking at the Percoets and said "Doc gave you a beefy dose".

Trying to get the damn thing comfortable in bed is impossible. We have more pillows on the bed then we did in our pregnancy days.

I think there is 7 different incisions, 9 pieces of metal. It's in a splint and heavily wrapped until the swelling goes down and they pull the stitches. Then it goes in a cast for a month. I have pics of the xrays around here somewhere. Might have our 8 year old grandson help me get them posted.

5 hours of sleep, woke up in a puddle of sweat. Hurts where I never had surgery.

Hang in there.

I will never again complain about my ankle that hurts every morning for a few minutes until I walk it off. I think it was from rolling it too many times as a clumsy teenager.

Back in the hospital. Woke up with bad cramps in the ankle and toes were blue.

Looks like a clot. Probably will go in after it.

Took me off the thinner to prep for surgery.

Surgeon tripped over something in the parking lot and hurt his knee.

I am know waiting on his replacement. The original surgeon is in the bed beside me waiting on the ortho surgeon.

The wheels on the bus go round and round.

Home or at least at our sons home.

Aspirin regimen. Foot/leg elevated. Also have to wear those cool compression socks.

Another week, at least of flat on my back. Forged in Fire is the only decent thing on the boob tube.

WoW! What a nasty odyssey you've had!

Here's hoping the rest of the recuperation process will be easier for you Wink

Glad they caught the problem with the clot when they did. Should be smooth sailing now if you can fight the boredom for the rest of the week.

I'll be keeping good thoughts for you!
Don
