Wife got me a nice tool cart for my birthday to use as a detailers cart to make life a little easier when cleaning up the cars.
1st round of assembly nuts and bolts were 1/2” easy peasy. 2nd round none of my wrenches either standard or metric fit.
Happened to have a 13/32 nut driver that fit the nut perfectly.
Only problem is it’s not deep enough to fully tighter the bolt as the bolt end pokes through and pushes the nut driver off.
The nuts a in super tight corners so even my mini adjustable wrench won’t fit without possible rounding the nuts.
Been needing some flexhead ratcheting wrenches. Sounds like the perfect reason to buy a set presuming I can find one that includes 13/32s.

Nice cart just a little wobbly at the moment as the bolts are only about half way tight

So close to 10mm, just missed it by that much (10.318mm).

I did find a couple 13/32" open end wrenches, but no box wrench, neither plain nor ratcheting.

Is a nut driver what you call a socket? Can you not hold the nut in place and drive the bolt thru instead? You could also take a hacksaw and shorten the bolt so that it doesn't stick so far out the other end of the nut.

Finally, who made the 13/32" socket? Maybe they also make a deep set with that size.

I guess 7/16" would be one size bigger? Is that too loose a fit to drive the nut?

These are nut drivers. Pretty much a super shallow socket with a screw driver handle.

All the fasteners are in the corners of the trays and there are 32 of them so using the saw be would be a gigantic pain.

Apparently 13/32s is not much of a thing found one deep well socket for $20 and a couple of box wrenches for $20 then some non spark brass ones costing $80 or $300.

Going to try a set of needle nose pliers this evening. Was getting late last night and got tired of running up and down the stairs to the shop trying different tools.

Can you find different nuts with the same size threads? You can probably get them at a hardware store for a nickel apiece. Cheaper than buying a new socket/wrench that you'll probably never use again.

Do you have a 13/32 socket? Just get a nut driver that accepts sockets, rather than ones that are one piece like that.

Nut drivers have their place. Usually the shaft is hollow to allow tightening the nut when there’s a lot of thread. I’ve got a set of Klein nut drivers that I use all the time for electrical work.

No socket in that size either.
Looks to be a really oddball size with almost zero options in 13/32s.
Was hoping to find a flex head ratcheting wrench set with that size since I need a set anyway but no such luck.
Hopefully will be able to get to them with 90 degree needle nose pliers.

Unfortunately mine are not hollow.

HA!!!!!
When your Chinese wrench does not fit might try your American made one.
My guess is the Pittsburgh (Harbor Frieght) 10mm wrench probably got used to break something loose a time or two and need some bumps from a hammer, in turn rounding the inside lugs of the wrench a bit.
I used a US made Craftsman wrench today and it worked perfectly.
Now the fact that this thing used standard and metric bolts and nuts in the same thing is another issue.

Well I feel a little dumb at the moment.

I took a look in my toolbox and I don't have a 13/32 either.
Looking around, they are readily available, though.

I was told as a teenager that the 13/32 was needed to adjust the points on some distributors. As I as 12 years old in 1967 most of the distributors I saw or worked on were mid 1950's or later. I always had a hunch that they probably dated to the Ford Model A or perhaps the original V8.

I've stopped counting.
