I went to a local park. A place where they have considerable grassy areas. Picnic tables. Grassy areas. Places to gather, sit, talk.

For some reason, a lady decides to park her car, open the rear hatch, spread out a blanket behind the car, and just sit there. With a little toddler (can walk). And a little dog. Right between the car and where other cars would drive by in the parking lot.

And if she would have backed her car into the spot, the rear would have been facing the grassy area, not the parking lot. The blanket could have been on grass.

Did I mention this was a park? With lots of grassy area?

I don't get it. Am I missing something? Why?

Who knows. It definitely sounds unsafe, but maybe she has a child on the spectrum that she might need to pack up in a hurry, or maybe she can’t walk far..maybe she needs a leash for the kid or the dog because she can’t control 1 or the other. Maybe she’s afraid of grass. Or they are. Or some other phobia they’re trying to overcome. I’d hate to think she’s just lazy. So many possibilities.

Maybe their garage door opener doesn’t work so they went to the park instead.

Have you ever seen a woman back into a spot intentionally. Neither have I.

A bunch of us went out drinking a few years ago and one of our buddies picked up a woman at the bar. We all teased him that it was a man but he didn’t believe us. When he got home he pulled into his garage and then looked down his long driveway with cars riddled on both sides. This woman backed all the way up his driveway snaking around multiple cars while doing it.

After watching that he shut his garage door and ran inside and turned all the lights off acting like he wasn’t home.

But wait, the back of the car is into the parking lot and not the park grass???

I can’t compute other that “stupid people.”

Maybe the father is not longer with them and they want to relive the days they did tailgating together.
Maybe they tried the grass and was infested with ants, or they have some sort of allergic reacting to the grass.

Maybe she was to wait for someone and would need to be able to see someone drive up, wave or such, to meet up? Thus to sitting behind the car.

Odd you think that. My little Sister and her Daughter can both back up into a parting spot with ease. They can also, best sit down as you read this, Drive a car or truck with a stick shift.
