Our '24 CX-50 is in Wind Chill Pearl as well. My wife and I both have a fondness for white in our cars. White and light colors in general show off the lines of a car design far better, which is why I generally like white, reds and yellows. Even silvers. I admit that this particular version of Mazda white looks pretty in most lighting conditions, but honestly I didn't actually want it. But since it was purchased to be my wife's car, her desire for 'white' ruled the day. It's the only "white" that was available for the specific trim level of the car that we were after. These pearlescent paints kinda SUCK when it comes to resprays and touch-ups due to surface damage repair. Getting the right amount of the "pearl" additive to match is like mystical voodoo...and consequently makes any work involving paint repair considerably more expensive.

I looked up the above using the ol' Googletron. Wasn't quite the same; the Java Green Metallic that came up in most of the results actually looks good and like legit paint, but this one I saw had a more yellowish tint in its green and definitely wasn't metallic. Instead it was VERY "day-glow" in appearance and characteristic. Really seemed to give off a 'plasticky' kind of sheen and vibe, which lead me to think that this particular BMW I saw was wrapped. Of course if BMW offers a paint-to-sample program like Porsche does, then all bets are off.
Was it this color?

PASigI’m really liking Subaru’s paint colors lately.
I’m not sure what this kind of paint is called but it’s like a color + cream. Like the blue is a creamy blue. The brown is a creamy brown. Not sure how else to describe it.

P250UA5Something not far off from that is what I have in mind for my Midget.
Ideally, want to get close to the color of my father-in-law's 2001 Indian Scout.
Mojave Bronze was the color, IIRC.

pedropcolaI like the bright colors. I once brought home my airport car, a Subaru in what is best described as Mattel Hot Wheels Blue. I loved it, still do, it is my son's car now. My wife threatened to make me take it back. Her car is black. Boring.

frankinaugI have a tendency to like odd ball cars in odd colors. I drive an orange FJ cruiser and a yellow and black Can Am trike. I am leaning towards something green next

We have three vehicles, grey, metallic grey and metallic blue gray. But I’m I’m my mid -sixties now… my prior ride was a 320 HP sports coupe in “Mid-life Crisis Red” as I used to describe it. Matched the red color of the ball my dog has in her teeth in my avatar.

Back in 1973 I bought a very lightly used, one year old, Porsche 911 that was very close to that color. I really enjoyed that car for about six months, until it was stolen.
A year or three after the theft I was working with the Chicago PD (computer stuff) and while reviewing system requirements with a detective in Auto Theft, we stuck the VIN into the system and found that an "equal opportunity" management trainee at Sears HQ had been arrested for the theft.

egregoreIn the 1960s/early 70s muscle car era, Chrysler gave some colors colorful
names, e.g., Plum Crazy, Go Mango.

WolfpackerI have noticed several Toyota trucks and 4 Runners in a very flat looking green. Dull looking. Not a fan but to each his own.

Yea noticed that flat gray fad as well. Then just last week on a car I noticed that people had nicknamed it "Concrete".
Ha... Nailed it!
They call it the "primer look." Not really a fan. Think it's just a fad, sort of like Flat Dark Earth is for firearms (though OK I like that one).
Yes.
I was just chatting to my husband about this today. I know the flat grey edged in black is really popular right now, but it has zero depth and lustre. Certainly no sparkle. Reminds me of an old baseball shirt. Hate it. “Concrete” fits.
Started with Audi's Nardo Grey in 2013. It was premium and head turning then...
