gjgalliganJessica Tarlov
I watch Jessica just hoping one she loses it an back hands Jesse Watters hard enough to knock him right out of his chair.
I would not miss Jessica if she left but I can't stand Jesse. He keeps talking about "manly men", a subject he has no knowledge of.
Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

newtoSig765Yeah, I call him "Shallow" Watters.

4MUL8RWatters is a self-aggrandizing narcissist with a modicum of intelligence.
Tarlov is playing a role and deserves her time (the script) without Jesse running roughshod over her.
Jesse will not walk over anyone but Tarlov. He is afraid of Dana, Greg, Harold, et al.

Like you guys, I just can’t picture Jesse being all that manly.
Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

sjtillJesse Watters must be the luckiest guy on Tv. He started out doing man/woman on the street interviews for Bill O’Reilly IIRC. Then Bill O’Reilly got caught in some sex thing IIRC. And there’s Jesse ready to step in. Is that how it happened?

synthplayerWatters's entire family is hard core Left, so I cut him some slack. (I don't think his wife is a Lefty)
I found what you said riveting. September 03, 2025, 09:27 AM
egregoreShe becomes easier to understand when you realize she is put on the show expressly as a "straw" character. She is
supposed to piss you off.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pm.../Main/FoxNewsLiberal quote:
Otherwise known as a DINO (Democrat In Name Only), a 'Fox News Liberal' is an ideological Strawman character who is used to bring the illusion of political balance in a narrative or discourse that is otherwise overwhelmingly slanted in the other direction.
quote:
Like any straw man trope, the *INO character's job is to seem to be representing one point of view while actually promoting the opposite through the provision of a spectacularly bad advocate and/or role model. What makes a Fox News Liberal/MSNBC Conservative different from other straw men is that they are not playing a satirical or sarcastic role, and they aren't playing a fictional character.
Harold Ford, with his calmer demeanor and presentation, on the other hand, is presented as the
Only Sane Man.
If you want a channel that makes no such pretense, you can always watch Newsmax.

And again,
if you believe the internet sources, she gets paid really well to do so.

4MUL8RThis week Jesse was so hard on her she looked in the camera and said it was her last show.
Greg has twice this week laid into her, raising his voice and sneering at her position.
There is an utter suspension of belief that speaking to her in this untoward and impolite way is anything different than hate speech.
In other words, they decry being called by names favored by their political opponents but act similarly to defend their position.
I’m not sure why it truly matters. I think I’ll stop watching the show with my wife and study on other subjects upstairs.
