BTW on the Spectrum phone deal, if you don't use much data, they have a low data plan that is $15 a month
We have three phones on this service; it's actually $14, not $15, and that includes all taxes and junk fees! No ups, no extras. Honest advertising; when they quote the price, it's the TOTAL price for unlimited talk and text, and 1 Gb data per phone. Data allotment is consolidated in a pool, shared among all phones on the plan, so we have 3 Gb in our three-phone data pool. We exceeded it once in maybe five years, that month we paid an extra fourteen bucks for up to 1 G additional data. There is no roll-over for unused data.

More good news, they ride on the Verizon network, which gives great coverage.

One possible "gotcha" -- service from Spectrum Mobile is available at these prices ONLY if you have Spectrum internet service (residential or business).

Thanks
I talked to Spectrum on Monday. They were supposed to get back to me on Wednesday and I never heard from them.
The deal I was told about was, Unlimited talk, text and data. The deal was you pay for the first line and the second line was free for the first year. We need new phones and their prices were in line with most of the others we talked to.

My wife likes T Mobile. They were a little more expensive monthly however they gave you good, new phones for free. All you had to do was keep the cell plan for I think two years. If you canceled the plan early you had to pay a pro rated cost on the phones. They also gave you some streaming services as part of the plan.

I like Mint Mobile. You buy your phone outright then buy the plan the fits your need. I need unlimited talk, text and the data for me never went over 5 Gigs with my old plan so it was not that expensive.

Make sure you are going to a corporate store.

At least with Verizon, they have corporate stores and authorized retailers. I would bet you were at an authorized retailer.

IF you want the phones in hand, now, and it's T-Mobile, go to Costco if you are a member, as you'll get the same deal as any T-Mobile location but you'll get the Costco Gift Cards, with two new lines it could be $200 to $400 in gift cards with new phones.

Otherwise you can get anything you want on T-mobiles web page setup and delivered to your home. During the dempanic even the Costco vendor was having issues getting phones, think that isn't a problem now.

Spectrum has retail stores around the area, check to see if you have one close by and go in to get the phone and service, I'd call get appointment if they do that and make sure you can get the phone you want in the store.
