I gave up on paper towels years ago. Bought some multi-count bundles of dish towels and tossed them in a bin in the kitchen. Use and wash. Rinse and repeat. Old t-shirts for shop rags. | |||

I only buy and use the half-sheet rolls of paper towels and much prefer them. Generally - if it takes more than a single half-sheet, I just use a washable dish towel. If I'm eating something particularly messy, or cleaning up a medium to large mess of some sort, I just start out with a towel in the first place. Works great for me. | |||

Best thing about the invention of the 1/2 sheet roll is that it makes it easier to get 1.5 sheets. Usually 1 is too small and 2 too large. 1.5 perfect But where it's really at is the blue shop paper towels. Those are the bees knees and I'll use them in the kitchen if I run out of regular paper towels. | |||

We get Bounty "Select a Size" bulk rolls. By my measurements, two of the so called "half" sheets (which they don't claim to be BTW) are actually closer to 1.12 full sized sheets.
