More about the story than the pic, but Moose went fishing with us yesterday. He loves the boat. We got checked by the the DNR...first time that's ever happened to me on the boat in the 11 years that I've owned it.
She was from out of county so I didn't know her. Super nice, checked my license and chatted for a bit, scratched his ears, and as she was pulling away our dumbass decided to jump into her boat. So now our boats are drifting apart and she's got Moose over there with her. He looked pretty confused...thankfully when she came back alongside he jumped right back into our boat and didn't make me go after him. She said he's the fourth one she's had do that...I figure it says positive things about a person's character if dogs like you enough to jump into your boat, lol.

When I was very small, my parents took my brother and I for a ride in a small motor boat. Herman the Dachshund went along, of course. Somebody dropped a kleenex(?) over the side, and the dog went after it and disappeared. All stop, find the dog!
We all four were peering over that side of the boat when Herman popped up on the other side and swam back to the boat... water, it turns out, was not a problem for him.
=== I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

Ollie was supposed to be helping me spread the mulch but decided he wanted to nap instead.
Then to add insult to injury, he went swimming, enjoyed one of my beers, and stuck out his tongue at me when I asked for help.

Ollie is obviously a canine teenager.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Lol that's awesome! At least he's willing to get in the water. Moose was messing around and fell out of the boat yesterday while we were fishing. He did not like that one bit!

PHPaul: We believe Ollie is 13 but can't attest to it as he was a rescue. However after his spinal injury, successful surgery, rehab, he has a new lease on life so is living large like a teen!
92fstech: He is happy to float around in the pool, but I guess like your Moose, is not enamored with swimming. Interestingly enough, when it's time for a bath all I have to do is call him and he will jump in the shower with me. He is our first dachsund that will do that!

More of a fish picture than a dog picture, but here's Moose almost getting his face bit off. My son caught this 27" Northern yesterday when we were bass fishing (I know, that's not a bass !), and of course the dumb dog wants to sniff it just like every other fish we catch. That almost cost him with this one! Notice he's also now wearing his new retard suit since he managed to dump himself overboard the last time we went out .
