92fstechMoose keeps growing. He's about 11 weeks old now, and hes gotten quite a bit longer and taller. When we first got him home 5 weeks ago, he could barely make it up the step from the back yard into the house...now he jumps up on the couch in a single leap.
We walked 4 miles today, and he's still got plenty of energy left over. He's very observant and curious, and has a good nose on him. He was sniffing out burrows and small game and rodent trails through the grass along the edge of the fields for our entire walk.
There were some Turkeys in the front yard this week and he got up on the couch by the front window and wouldn't take his eyes off them the whole time they were out there.
His energy comes in spurts, though, and he still takes plenty of naps!

He's a handful, but we love him! He had two brothers and a sister at the shelter with him, and we seriously considered taking more than one, but in hindsight I'm glad we didn't because I doubt we could have kept up. The kids have been doing great working with him, but doubling the workload would have been chaos. I did ask about the others when we were in for his last checkup, and they were all either adopted out or in process at that point, so it worked out for the best I think.

henryaz After the morning's lizard census, and some romping and playing in the yard, it is time for a nap.

OttoSigWe got about 4.5” total, this was after the first bit. It’s her first time in actual snow, this is her speed every time she goes outside.

That is guaranteed to get some second looks rolling down the road
!
The Moose is still growing. He got a bath yesterday, so he smells good and is extra plushy. He loves the bath...he's totally willing to be washed, and after I towled him off and got him out of the tub he ran around for a bit and then tried to jump back in, lol. That's a sharp contrast to our old dog, who after her first bath as a puppy refused to willingly go anywhere near the bathroom for the rest of her 17 years!

92fstechPoor cone dog. Cone or no cone, though, he'll still crawl up there and try to push you off the couch!
