If you have signed up for USPS Informed Delivery, you get daily emails, they have an app and you can look at what’s coming your way online, all of which tell you of the Items Expected Today. That doesn’t mean today, according to USPS, it means in the next few days. I have 23 letters, Bills, cards, etc… that have not been delivered for over a week, Saturday had a package that was out for delivery and then all of a sudden get and email telling me they could not place it in my security box, which I don’t have and was home all day and I could pick it up at the post office.

Yesterday, 3 packages listed out for delivery, then it changes to undeliverable and I can pick them up at the post office.

Our Postmaster knows me by name now and probably getting tired of me asking simple questions like why is my mail not being delivered.

I got the packages and still nothing else.

Today’s conversation went down the path of if you can’t get the missing items to me by tomorrow, I will get the Postal Inspectors involved.

Wife sent Christmas cards to our great-grandsons. Mailed on the same day to the same address. Received nearly a week apart.

???

Never had an issue in "town". but the mailman knew me and went to my church...

moved to a rural route 10 years ago and started having trouble soon after... packages that came up as out for delivery would later get switched to undeliverable and might show up the next day or later. Hummm. Occasionally, my mail will go to somebody else and occasionally I will get somebody else else's...

I started leaving an envelope with a bow on it in the mailbox the last working day for the post office before Christmas containing a $25 gift certificate to the local café. And then there was the time I drug a floor jack and my cordless impact out to the road and changed a flat tire for her.

My service has been practically 100% perfect ever since, for years now. Funny ain't it.

My route lady after completing her route one day saw a package that had been dropped off at the post office by Amazon for me, (USPS sometimes here is the "last mile" delivery method) She picked it up and drove it to my house before she went home!

I also gift the mail carrier & the private garbage pickup men. My mail service is superior and everything gets hauled away.
