They're fascinating in a way because the voice over narration is complete nonsense. None of the things they say are true. And the video, they show you six different things that AREN'T what they're trying to sell you, and even if you watch it all the way to the end, you're still not exactly sure what/which item they're trying to sell you.

The recent Democratic primary here was insane. For a month or more EVERY SINGLE commercial break had at least one commercial for one candidate or the other and usually you couldn't skip them. The only way I could try to deal with it was knowing how much money they were spending, and knowing they're wasting them on me.

About that same time, a commercial for a store coming to a mall (that's not terribly local) has taken it's place with torturous regularity. And yet, despite being forced to see it hundreds and hundreds of times, I couldn't tell you what store or what mall.

I use the app on iOS (ipad) for 90% of YT. Probably 10% viewing on the ATV. On the ATV, there are more ads than on the app on the ipad. Double. It’s funny, that shit comes on, and I can’t skip it yet, I just mute the AVR. They can try all they want, it won’t work. Then on the ipad I use every available opportunity to block. A lot of videos you can click twice and block the shit permanently.

If their got damn “premium” shit wasn’t so expensive I’d just pay them. But I’m not paying $13 a month or whatever as I have enough streaming bullshit already.
