I have enough trouble sleeping through the night in one full block of, "Ahhhh... <stretch> (after 7 hours) sleep; between the occasional bladder calls of; "HEY! Get up before we have to do middle of the night laundry!" and "GERD here, you remember that extra peperoni on last nights pizza?" Pfffftttt.... I have a cat. If you know, you know. If you don't? Pray the UCDS (Universal Cat Distribution System) does not have you on their mailing list. Me: "Paddington! I need to sleep!!!" Paddington: "Meow...." UCDS had me on their list last week. I found a kitten on a storm drain in the middle of the freeway. Think she is four or five weeks old now trying to adjust to solid food.

Look at the bright side. You no longer need an alarm clock. Having your kitty jump on you is a far more pleasant way to wake up.

My wife and my keeping a friend's cat while she's traveling for a couple of months. We don't let the cat in the bedroom at night since the first night when he was either on my chest or on my head and I couldn't sleep. Instead he yells at us periodically throughout the night from right outside the door.

OP is accurate. In our case it's 0530 pawing at our bedroom door, both gone by the time you get up and open the door to shoo them off. The Enemy's gate is down.

had 2, then none after 20 yrs, then managed to have 3, now just down to 2 as of Sat, they basically leave me alone, the 1st would lay on my in the winter, cause despite the heat pump keeping the house at 68, he was cold and I was the heat source at night, so i would awaken, feeling like i was on fire in certian parts, and have to toss him off me he left the cold natured wife alone, she was under an extra blanket, every now and again our calico will decide to walk over me looking for a head rub or a warm spot, or whatever, wife is up at 5am, so they all are on her schedule, and yet the leave me be when she is out of town, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

My 69 y.o. neighbor lady has a cat. As she travels on a regular basis, I've been reaping the rewards by caring for it while she's away. Pretty good gig. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

My worst experience with cats was waking up to find all five of them on my bed pinning me under the covers so I couldn’t move. I needed to pee but also didn’t want to wake them up. I managed to wriggle and contort my way out of there with only two of them complaining.
