Im old. When I was in it was called the classified vault or some such thing. Coldest day of my life. Thanks Walker brothers. Two person integrity, me being number 2, had to escort the classified stuff across the pond to Sigonella. Back of a C141 in winter. To this day I think the AF guys were just screwing with us Navy types. So so very cold.

Don't forget the smart watches/fit bits too. Can't tell you how many security violations those things generate.

There's a guy whose got a permanent desk in the one where I work. He gets a kick out dropping wolf bait while other people are in there. Thing is he has to stay and we can leave so one of these days I'm going to have some boiled eggs and Schlitz for supper then dust his sorry ass the next morning.

I've never seen one or had reason to be in one, although I'm generally familiar with their purpose... thought I knew the correct term but apparently not. In the words of Agent 86, "missed it by that much"...guess my dreams of working for CONTROL are over. ...and yes, if a writer is going to cash in on their professional experience they should at least go to the trouble of getting their facts right, as well as doing the due diligence of having editors or fact checkers double check their work.

Funny story regarding a SCIF, as a police officer for the Army I respond to alarms at SCIFs all the time. One time we had a lady who reused to let us in with our radio's on our person. Told me "your not going in there with that on", "I told her "Its my only means of communication and not coming off, well then your not getting inside. So I told her My boss the Provost Marshall will call your boss and we'll see who wins. Nedless to say we were able to enter the SCIF and clear the area so the alarm could be reset.
