Why do folks who make quotation marks in the air with two fingers of each hand always flex those fingers twice? It's equivalent to "" ****** "" and is very irritating.

Mini Me, stop humping the "laser". Honest to God! Why don't you and the giant "laser" get a fricken room for God's sakes?

they do it for the extra emphasis. While it irritates me a little as well I usually just assume the person doing so is just an annoying asshole.

Only one of these statements are true:
  • TatorTodd is normal
  • TatorTodd is “normal”

That’s a good example of why air quotes are necessary. A really exaggerated wink would work too.

I think it's way worse when people actually say the words "quote, unquote" while they make the motion.

I am so sharing this with my doc whose 5 year old started doing this without any understanding of WTF he was doing. And, of course, they laugh at him and can't figure out why it happens more.
