Don't you mean the Department of Redundancy Department?

I had a business supplying carpet cleaning equipment to hardware stores, where they were rented to do-it-yourself customers.

There was a section on the rental contract where store cashiers could note any problems reported by rental customers.

I found one with a cashier's note that said "Customer said she got a shock from the machine and it electrocuted her."

I guess the man’s wife who survived was just shocked.

Merriam-Webster says “to kill or severely injure”. To get really technical the other direction, electrocution is specifically a judicial execution process, so it was used wrong on both counts.

Had the business for more than twenty years, so we saw some "interesting" stuff. One helpful note that we found taped to a machine: "It's broke, yo."

Another note said "It doesn't suck" -- referring to a non-functional vacuum.

"My car(house) was ROBBED!!!" - a proclamation often posted on Ring or ND.

No, it's a burglary and not a robbery. There's a difference.

Leave it to Fox News to continue with their idiocy. Multiple people electrocuted in ‘freak accident’ while enjoying swim in pool, but none of them died, apparently. Roll Eyes

quote:
Five swimmers in Indiana were electrocuted in what police described as a "freak accident" in a swimming pool Sunday afternoon.

Officers, fire and medical personnel responded to a home in the 2600 block of High St. just after 2:30 p.m. in the town of Logansport, Indiana, police said.

Police said five people – including two adults and three juveniles – were transported to local hospitals for their injuries.

Medical personnel transported two of the juveniles to different hospitals for further treatment.

I see a lot of dictionary sites that define electrocute as: "to kill or severely injure by electric shock."
