I ordered .380 from SGAmmo and it arrived no problem in a few days.
Tried to order some Hornady Critical Defense 9mm from Ammunition To Go and at checkout was blocked and some message came up like “Due to COVID-19 issues, we can’t ship to your area right now”
I emailed them and got this, what the heck is going on? Anyone seeing this?

Why is your website refusing to allow me to place an order from Pennsylvania? I have ordered from other ammo dealers with no issue.

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, due to everything going on right now in the country we had to suspend shipping to certain areas of the country.
Our team is working around the clock to meet the demand we are currently facing.
Please keep checking our site often as we hope to catch up soon and resume shipping to your location.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Stay safe and healthy!

Sounds like they’re using the virus as an excuse for not being able to stock enough ammo to meet demand. Perhaps this is their form of rationing - for a couple of weeks they can’t ship to PA and the northeast, then the midwest for another couple weeks, then the south, etc.

Don't know if it was the state or me to which they were refusing to ship, but they're dead to me now.

They don't indicate on which end the issues are. It would be understandable if key employees caught it and are hospitalized. The problem being on your end doesn't make sense either. Even if for the sake of argument you have a particularly bad outbreak or cluster of cases in your area, what's it to them? They aren't affected by it. They should cop to whatever the problem is and be honest about it instead of blowing smoke up your ass.

A response that didn't answer your question. Isn't that nice of them....

Hah! You should see the moronic corporate-speak responses that I am getting from Travelers Insurance when I ask them about the 15% premium credit that they promised due to reduced driving in March and April, because virus.

Exactly! Most gun places, to include ammo places, have jacked up their prices and stuff is still flying off the shelves. I'd have a real hard time ordering from SG Ammo again after receiving that BS response from them.

Except it was ATG that gave him issues, not SG Ammo....

Just correcting you because SG Ammo is a legit awesome family run business and far better than Ammo To Go IMO.
Yes it was Ammunition To Go giving me lame ass excuses. I’ve had some issues with them in the past so I’m done with them. They used to be great and had high praise on this site but something changed.
SGAmmo shipped my 1,000 rounds of PPU .380 in like 4 days, they are great.
ATG can suck my ass. “Due to COVID-19...”

I have plenty but wanted more and I found my normal goto places had zero of my fav and it seemed that the other places that had some had upped the price a bit. I can wait

For a short time SG Ammo greatly restricted the types of ammunition they would accept orders for and they’ve made it clear that shipments might be delayed due to the fact that most of their employees were older and more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19. The most limited service didn’t last long, though. I got 500 rounds of 5.56 77 grain OTM yesterday without much more delay than usual. They are the company I always check with first, and don’t even mind the occasional higher price for something.

Ownership changed a while back. No longer "great".

Being from Illinois, I often have difficulty in ordering. Some places wont ship here and some will if they have a copy of my driver's license and FOID.

I would think they are having a hard time getting resupplied (at decent prices anyway) and can sell all they have locally right now. Must of the online stores are showing prices near to double what there were a few months ago so I'm not in the market until things return to somewhat normal.
