Lights used to last years. Now every year several strands go bad, doesn't matter what brand, indoor, outdoor, whatever. Cheap garbage.

Get off my lawn.

Had to splice 2 half dead strands into 1 good run a couple years ago. Cheap lights, so partly my fault.
We'll see how they look this year.

I refuse to touch the Christmas box before Thanksgiving is over, so maybe thus weekend I'll get them down.

There are some differences. I’ve noticed the squirrels will chew through certain strands multiple times but not touch others.

1000 Bulbs Christmas section, go here and piece together what you need. Been rocking their C9 lights for several years now, still work without a hitch and look great. There’s something to be said for having custom length strands on your house.

I can't count the times that I checked all my strands, spent half the day putting them up, plugging in, and always, always, at least one strand is toast. Don't even get me started on the pre lit trees. I'm lucky to get 2 years out them.

My wife bought these LED strips from Amazon (sorry don’t have the brand off the top of my head). They are remote controlled, multiple colors, settings, never get knotted up, very small yet bright. I think we’re going on 3 years now and haven’t had a single problem with them.

I believe they come in several different lengths, all weather, and very tough for what they are.

+1

I have been using the same three strings of C9s for 10 years.

Just replace a bulb or two arch year. And they sell 25 count packs very cheap.
